Farewell:
We say a fond farewell to Dr Phillip Ondimu who returns to a country appointment following a rotation in our Practice. Phillip was well liked by his patients and staff alike and will be sorely missed.
Welcome:
As we say farewell to Phillip we are fortunate to have a very competent replacement, Dr Robert Buckley.
Information about him is included in this website.
We warmly welcome him and we are sure his patients will appreciate his skills, accessibility and compassion.
Internal building development.
Recent visitors to the Practice will be aware of the building work that has taken place. Though inconvenient to patients and staff alike for a few weeks, the work done will streamline the flow of patients through reception to the new extension. The old waiting room has been converted to a consulting room and an old consulting room has been made into the new waiting room which is now just inside the rear entry door to the old building. Access to the new extension from the waiting room will no longer require patients to go outside and re-enter through the sliding doors – a door from the waiting room enters directly into the new building. Thankyou to all who visited during the re-development phase for their patience and understanding.
Bayside supports an orphanage in Kenya:
Dr Jennie Wright has provided support for an orphanage in Nairobi both financially and through a number of visits. During a recent visit she sponsored CPR training in Swahili for the orphanage staff.
The photos below show her activity at the orphanage over Christmas and New Year recently.
The orphanage is called Zaidi Ya Dreams and is run by her daughter. There are no government or not for profit charities that provide support so anyone who buys a chocolate from the waiting room will be supporting these abandoned Kenyan children.
