The importance of seeing your GP on a regular basis

It is difficult to know the condition of your body by judging only on how you look and feel which is why it is so important to visit your general practitioner for a regular check-up…

Here at Bayside Family & Musculoskeletal Practice in Glenelg, we encourage patients to visit our practice on a regular basis. It’s better to be safe than sorry- we normally encourage healthy patients to see our GPs once yearly unless otherwise instructed. Your GP may ask to see you twice yearly or more often based on age, overall health or because of a particular health condition.

If something doesn’t feel right, get it checked!

If you are concerned about muscles, stomach pains or even a recurring headache we encourage you to seek medical attention as soon as possible. Whatever your health concern we encourage you to seek professional care immediately. Our bodies are amazing organisms and they let us know when something isn’t right with many warning signs. If your body is telling you something is wrong, don’t ignore it, our team of health professionals can assess your symptoms and determine the appropriate treatment to maintain your health.

Don’t be embarrassed, we’ve seen it all

Patients often avoid visiting the doctor because they are embarrassed about their symptoms or condition. Remember we are professionals and we have probably seen it before! Our team of highly skilled doctors have had years of experience in the medical industry and each of them maintains a professional standard at all times, while paying attention to your comfort and wellbeing.

We follow strict privacy procedures

It is our duty to ensure your comfort, safety and your privacy during treatment and care. We encourage patients to assess our privacy policy if you have any further questions about ensuring your confidentiality.

We provide a team of professionals

At Bayside Family & Musculoskeletal Practice we can not only meet your general health needs but can also provide specialist care and attention. Our  team of visiting specialists along with our comprehensive list of allied health professionals helps us ensure we can provide the care you require.

Just because you feel healthy doesn’t mean you are!

Many conditions do not have physical symptoms and can silently creep up on us until it’s too late to treat. Don’t let this happen to you! With yearly or half yearly medical checks we can often catch the hidden symptoms of diseases, cancers or illnesses. For our older patients we encourage more regular trips to our practice; however your particular GP will discuss when they would like to next see you for your regular checkup up.

To book a checkup or to find out more about our services please don’t hesitate to contact us.
